Jan Prus-Czarnecki

About Me

Currently working as a Software Engineer on the Allegro Pay team in Warsaw, building customer-facing payment features using React. I graduated from the University of Alberta in April 2025 with a double major in Physics and Computing Science.

I built Doc2Row, software that uses a local LLM to extract information from unstructured documents into structured tables, designed for medical and research environments where data privacy is critical.

Before moving to Poland, I started a BBQ cleaning company that served over 1,000 customers in its first two seasons. Through that experience, I learned how to hire and manage a team, run Google and Meta ad campaigns, and build a website optimized for booking conversions.

Outside of work, I’m a black belt in judo, transitioning from competing to coaching. In my free time, I enjoy skiing and playing chess.
